This week's questions are totally unrelated to one another; just a 'pot pourri' of randomness! Have a great week and thanks for playing! 1. When putting groceries away, do you rotate your food so your newest items (cans and such) are in the back, and older food in the front?2. Do you own a digital camera? If so, how long have you had one? If not, do you plan to purchase one soon?3. How do you store your precious photos?4. It's 6:00 a.m. and you've just lost power due to a severe thunderstorm; they say it will probably take at least 12 hours before power will be restored; what do you do?5. How many times a year do you (or does someone dear to you) wax your automobile?6. Gas prices; what can we say except they've reached an all-time high. How are you dealing with this? 7. Have you ever purchased a book or cd twice, forgetting that you already had it?
1. Yes. It's especially important to do with fresh products!
2. We have owned a digital camera for almost a year now.
3. Since digital days, we just have them on the computer or on a CD. The rest are in photo albums; not the fancy schmancy kind; just the regular kind!
4. I probably wouldn't have school either, so I'd just deal.
5. Wax the car?? You're supposed to wax your car?? Who thought that up???
6. I don't know. Maybe I'll find someone to carpool with.
7. Sadly, yes, I have done this on WAY more than one occasion! They make for REALLY nice b-day or Christmas gifts!

IN OTHER NEWS,
L and I did our painting Sunday and Monday, so the cabinets will start going in tomorrow! We also rented movies in preparation for "tooth extraction recovery." The Sr. Pics. look great. We have to narrow down our choices from the "proofs". More later!

Hey mom, if you see this before you come over, and you're coming from the lake, bring our favorite knife, ok? Love ya! Menard's delivered our cabinets at 8:30 this morning. They take up half the garage!

The cabinets are here. Well, actually, they'll be delivered tomorrow, but they came in at Menard's yesterday. The walls will be completed today and L and I will get primer on the walls tonight. We still have to see about the floor, but progess is being made. Last week I also saw an old friend I hadn't seen in 24 years. We had a great visit at the beach. Geoff also went back to Mt. P on Thursday. Kev says his apartment is really nice. I didn't go with because I had an Autism/Aspergers seminar to attend. On Tuesday L gets her wisdom teeth pulled. We both go back to school on the following week. Time sure flies!

Kevy got all the drywall up in the kitchen today. He just has two sheets to put up on the living room side. I volunteered to do his grocery shopping because of all the work he's doing here. Yuck! I hate shopping, but I figure it's the least I can do. An old friend from my CMU days is coming for a visit this week. I haven't seen her in 24 years! Petey attends his first puppy class on Tuesday. He is eager to learn and has already responded well to the clicker training. I think he'll be a more focused student than Ralphie was! I'll let you know!

Here's a little food for thought. Along the lines of this week's MM questions, there was a gas station that had the wrong price programmed into the pump, so people lined up and bought 500 gallons of the cheap gas before the station attendant realized the error. If you had come upon this bit of good fortune, what would you have done? I think WE'RE getting robbed when we have to pay almost $2.50 for a gallon of the stuff! It sounds like payback time!

In other news, Mom and Dad, we have finally narrowed it down to about 16 pictures. I have been trying to get in touch with you. I'll keep trying. G goes back to Mt. P. next week. He is going to move into his apartment and take a week to get settled in. Boo hoo! Summer is almost over! I know! I'm not complaining, all you people who work year round!

Thank you all for playing Monday Madness each week! Here are this week's questions! What would you do in the following situations?1. The store clerk undercharges you for an item you purchase?2. The cashier gives you change for a fifty dollar bill when you only gave her a twenty, and you don't realize it until you're out the door?3. You see your best friend's husband/wife with another woman/man at a neighborhood restaurant?4. Your 15 year old asks you if you ever tried an alcoholic beverage before you were of legeal drinking age (and you have)?5. You find a one hundred dollar bill laying on the floor of a department store?
1. It just happened in May! I was paying for luggage that I thought was 89 bucks. It rung up as 49 bucks, and I told the girl. She told me 49 was the sale price! It's happened other times too, but never involving that amount of money.
2. Cash?? What's that?
3. I'd say "hi." If there was something fishy going on, why would they be out in public at a neighborhood hangout????
4. I'd be truthful. We've had a zillion talks about drinking already and they know my history as well as when and why I gave it up completely.
5. A few years back I found 1,000 bucks in the form of 2 endorsed checks. I called the dummy. He had signed them, put them on the passenger seat of his convertible and forgot about them. Needless to say, he was happy to hear from me!

Good questions!

Work continues with "the project." The final demolition is happening now with the removal of the old pantry. K is also designing the new electrical specs for installation before the new wall goes up. He's already got the wall frame up. He's done a fair amount of drywall work in his job, so he's had practice! I continue with the "grunt" work, but my helper, L is home from band camp. We went out last night to start to plan color schemes for the kitchen, living room and family room. If you've got tips or pointers out there in blog land, now is the time!!!

We ordered our cabinets yesterday! Yay!. We got them on sale at Menard's. They should arrive in 4 or 5 weeks! We have a lot to do between now and then, but we're making good progress. As the "unskilled" laborer, I'm preparing the basement for plumbing, etc. In other words, I'm cleaning! Yuck! Oh well; at least I feel like I'm doing my part! I'll keep you posted!

You wouldn't recognize our house! Kev moved part of the kitchen and removed the wall this weekend. I'm on cleanup detail. I've been clearing up drywall, wood, etc, and clearing it out of the way for removal. The kids are gone this week. Lisa is attending her final band camp and Geoff is one of the instructors. I'll keep you posted!

This week's questions are late going up because I just got back into town from being gone all day. Hope you still wanna play! Also, my apologies to Tricia, who emailed me a question (an excellent one, I might add), and I promised her I would use it last week. I didn't because I forgot, but it is the first question listed below....... the rest of from me. Thank you Tricia, for emailing me. I hope to see you back this week! And thanks to all of you for playing my meme. 1. If you could be on the Amazing Race, who would your partner be?2. On a priority scale of 1 to 10, how do you rate trust in a relationship/friendship?3. Do you trust your spouse/significant other/best friend completely?4. Do you trust others easily, or does it take time?

1. My partner would be Kevy. He's smart, strong, industrious, and my partner in everything else!
2. 10.
3. Yes
4. It takes time.

Sorry my answers are so short today! Lots to do! Later.
