Here's our latest computer crisis: Max, one of our cats wrecked our computer! He was leaping onto the computer desk in his "delicate" way, and knocked the box on its side. Kevin proceeded to spend the rest of the night trying to get it going again. I hope the weather's nice tomorrow, because we'll be taking a trip north to see if Frank the computer guru can offer any assistance! Wish us luck!

A few weeks ago, when I was using questions submitted by our participants, I received a full set of questions to this one.....If you could start your own meme (And you can!), what kind of questions would you ask? So I thought I'd use them; thank you Mom, for offering these and for allowing me to use them!! 1. You are given 1 million dollors. You must give it all away before the donor gives you $1 million. Who would you give it to?2. If you had $1 million what would you do with it FIRST?3. Do you participate in lotteries?4. Name 3 of your best physical features.5. ..... 3 of your biggest virtues.6. ......3 or you biggest vices.7. ...... 3 of your favorite pleasures in life.8 If you were a member of the opposite sex, what would you choose to do for your occupation?9. If you were to come back after death as another animal, what animal would you choose to be?10. What kind of 'baby' are you... water, clouds, beach, garden?

It is Labor Day here in the USA, so I thought we'd talk about work! Thank you, Mom, for posting these for me!! And yes, stay-at-home-moms and students are included!!! (If you are a student, please substitute 'job' for 'school' or 'class(es)')1. Please tell us a little bit about your job (or your classes).2. Do you enjoy your job?3. What would make your job more satisfying for you?4. Name one thing you don't like about your job.5. Do you feel you are compensated adequately for what you do?6. Any thoughts on social security and health benefits?7. What are your thoughts on the current minimum wage?8. What kind of advice do you (or would you) give your children regarding their future and their career choices?9. What is your 'dream job?'10. At what age will you be (or were you) able to retire?
1. I have been teaching music for 25 years at the same school. 4 years ago I started directing the school play because I wanted to do a musical and last year I started teaching a drama class. I teach band in grades 5 - 12 and choir grades 9 - 12 also
2. Yes, I enjoy my job!
3. I try to be careful of what I wish for. I always think about that Twilight zone episode where the person got three wishes and found out the hard way that things weren't so bad the way they were.
4. Football games.
5. We are the lowest paid teachers in the county, but I try not to think about that either.
6. Yes, but I don't type well enough to try to put it all down on this blog!!
7. I don't think it's possible for a person to afford to live and support a family on it.
8. Find something you love to do and figure out a way to make money doing it. Enjoying what you do makes it a lot easier to get up and go to work in the morning. It is very important to maintain a positive attitude too. If you tell yourself all the time that you hate something, you'll hate it!
9. I dream about my job all the time.
10. I will be 52 when I complete 30 years of teaching. I will be able to retire at that time. I probably will, at which point i will probably teach private trumpet lessons. (Or I will start a catering business!)

I got back into the swing of things at work this week. It's actually a great way to ease back into it. We do professional development in the morning and work in our rooms after lunch for a couple of hours. I've been getting back into the routine of walking at the beach after work. L and I go together. She has decided she likes walking better than when she was trying to jog. I told her "all in good time."

G is back at CMU, and is he glad! All those double shifts at work were starting to wear on him. He wanted to make the money, though, so good for him! It's much quieter, and less cluttered in our house! Uh, oh yeah, . . . we'll miss him! HaHa! Well, hi ho hi ho, it's off to work I go!
