Nat, this is my best way of responding to your Monday Madness. What do I have on my bathroom vanity? Nothing!!! I keep all my stuff in a drawer. I don't even keep my tooth brush out in the general population! What does THAT tell you?!!

Halleluiah! The open house is over! Everything went well, thanks to lots of helpers. We're still trying to get up to Ludington for our first "relaxing" stay. Hopefully that will happen this weekend. Thank heaven the steaminess is supposed to break before that. We missed you last week, Nat and Alex!

We're getting ready for the big "Open House" this weekend. I feel like I'm not doing as much as I should be. I didn't remodel or repaint or anything. I plan on cleaning. I did a little yard work. Some people go nuts with this , though. I haven't figured out what I'm doing to create the "shrine". I don't even know where I'm setting it up yet. The food will be good! Isn't that what's important?

Here we are at June 11 and we're still awaiting the arrival of summer!

Can you believe it? I came to write on my first official "not working day" yesterday and got a "closed for repairs" message! Well, obviously I had better luck today. Geoffrey is back from a week at Indiana University, where the International Horn Symposium was held. It was a terrific opportunity for him. He went down with CMU's horn choir to perform and rub elbows with some of the greats. He also spent a week getting to know some kids he'll be spending a lot of time with for the next few years. It's been a great way for him to get a leg up on school for the fall. He's already hitting the ground running!
