It's that time of week again! This week's questions come from Elena.....Thank you so much, Elena!!

1. Bed & Breakfast or hotel?
2. What determines where you stay?(i.e. price, accommodations, transportation, travel package)
3. When determining where to stay, do you ever consider the establishment's history? (i.e. it might be haunted, location of high profile crime)
4. Would such considerations sway your decision?
5. Do you try and read the local paper for where you're visiting, to get an idea of what the area's like?

1. I've never been in a bed and breakfast, so motel.
2. Price!
3. It's never been an option, but I would stay away from a place with a sordid past.
4. (answered in #3)
5. Nope. On the rare occasion that I travel, I already sort of have an agenda, or I'm visiting friends.

First, Happy B-day to Windy! I hope you have a good one! I have spent the last week and a half going through books and "stuff" in my bookshelves. I thank PeKay for the motivation. Helping her move was a real eye opener! I took 4 boxes of books to school; music texts and the like; and I have 4 boxes and 2 bags of books for our next yard sale which will hopefully be in July. I still have my "upstairs" books to go through yet, so....

Here's my MM:

This week's set of questions are all about you! Have a marvelous week!! =)

Do you prefer....
1. Long hair or Short hair
2. Contacts or Glasses
3. Spring or Autumn
4. Mittens or Gloves
5. Car or Truck/SUV
6. Mac or Windows
7. Cats or Dogs
8. Rock or Jazz
9. Pen or Pencil
10. DVD's or VHS's

1. On me, I prefer short hair. Less hair, less maintenence.
2. Glasses. I tried contacts for a week a year ago, and discovered I would have to wear glasses too often to bother with them. Right now I use bi-focals for mid-distance reading (music, etc.)and when I do "up-close" work like cross-stitching or reading small print, I have to take my glasses off.
3. I love having all 4 seasons, but Spring edges out Autumn by a small margin for a number of reasons. First, the most obvious: Spring signifies the end of the school year and a break for me; Autumn begins a new year. That's not a BAD thing, but things get very hectic once school starts.
4. Mittens
5. Car. I drive between 50 and 100 miles a day during the school year.
6. Whatever I'm using at the time. For the last 3 years its been windows. Before that we were Mac users. I wanted to switch because Windows is what we use at school, so the compatability made my life easier in terms of doing school work at home.
7. I love our puppy, but when weighing pros and cons, I'd have to say cats.
8. Given only those two choices, I would definitely choose Jazz, however, I listen to classical more than anything.
9. They both have specific functions. Some things I only use pencil, and others, only pens. That's why I always have a good supply of both.
10. No preferrence!

According to my statistics, I have made 52 posts here for Monday Madness; this means we are celebrating our one-year birthday here! I thought it would be fun to do something a little special this week (and after consulting sherle) I've come up with this....

Using the following letters, name birthday-related words; nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, phrases; they are all allowed! Have fun!! =)

Holy cow! A year older!
Aging beats the alternative
Perrenial
Prehistoric
You're not getting older; you're getting better!

Battling gravity
Intelligence hopefully advancing with age
Retirement is a year closer
Take the day off!
Have some cake and ice cream!
Don't forget your spouse's birthday!
Annual
Youth is a state of mind!

Greetings! Well, another school year has come to a close. It's time to catch up on the old blog! Lisa's last exam is this morning, and she goes for her work orientation next Tuesday. Geoff is already working. We feel fortunate that both kids found summer employment, since the teen job market is so poor this year. They are both working in food service at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Geoff still has some lawns he mows as well.

The pets are all fine. Ralph starts puppy school soon. He's a smart little dog, so we hope all will go well. I will still be going up to school for a summer drama group. We're hoping to perform a play at the end of July.

Kevin is keeping busy with work. He went up to open the trailer last weekend, as well as get the boat ready to launch. We're all hoping to fall into a regular routine soon. More later!
