Hi! Mom, I just wanted to thank you again for a terrific visit! I did a quick "google" to refresh my memory on insulin types. Your Bubba's humulin is a shortr acting type. He's relatively small, so he takes that, but because it's short acting, he needs it for each meal. You might really want to "train" him to eat his entire meal at once, though, due to the way the shorter term medication works. Talk to your vet! My type is Lantus, which is a longer acting type. It's raining right now, but I'm still really excited to put my photo lesson to use! I've been developing some ideas in my head and I can't wait to share them with you!

Now I'm going over to see MM. I checked it out Sunday night, but too early!~

1. I won't eat past _____ o'clock in the evening.2. My favorite subject for photographing is _____.3. I use _____ most often to edit my photographs.4. If I'm having trouble sleeping, I usually _____.5. When I'm hungry for a snack, I usually eat _____.

First, I want to say that these are helpful questions because #1 and 5 highlight some bad habits I have. Hopefully I'll work on improving them.
1. I won't eat past 11 or 12 o'clock in the evening.
2. My favorite pic subject right now is the pets. My mom just gave me a photography lesson yesterday and I'm looking forward to trying lots of different things!
3. I'm not advanced enough for editing yet.
4. If I have trouble sleeping I get up and play computer games. I hardly ever have trouble sleeping because I only sleep about 5 hrs. a night.
5. When I'm hungry for a snack I usually eat something that isn't healthy.

Well, it's good to have our internet back! We have had phone trouble the past couple of days, so we've been "netless". G and Kevy were coming back from Pittsburg, and I couldn't figure out why they weren't calling with an update on fri. It was because of the phone situation. Anyway, the Pittsburg result was good. G is scheduled for his allograft (sp?) surgery in Dec. They have NO idea why that dr. in GR were putting him off all this time. We are much more comfortable with this PA doc, though. This hospital is ranked 12th in the Nation; higher than U-M.

Lisa returned from her trip. She had a GREAT time! Kevy had some stress related back spasms in her absence. He's such a worry wart! I'm playing for a couple of things at the NPM regional convention in GR this week, but after that, I'm planning a trip to the other side of the state. Maybe I'll try to take in an Eddy Band concert. G is playing in the band! More after MM!

Good Monday to everyone! Now, for this week's questions.... and thanks for playing! What is your favorite framed object in your house?2. If you had a choice of being a carnivore or a herbivore, which one would you be, and why?3. Who do you think should have won the FIFA World Cup? Or, don't you care?4. What's your feelings on stormy weather?5. Do you believe in "time out" chairs?6. Have you ever bought or sold anything on Ebay?
1. Right now I have no framed objects hanging up! We didn't put anything back after the remodel. We have lots, though. I've got some cross stitch pieces, a few pieces of original art work done by my sis-in-law, a few vintage poster reproductions and TONS of art prints of great lakes ships, mostly done by Mich. artist, Mary Damroske. I need a big copy of L's Sr pic, and then my two kids will have to be my faves!
2. I'm glad I don't have to make the choice, because I like being an omnivore, but the older I get the less carnivorous I get. It has nothing to do with ethics or anything. I just don't have as much of a taste for meat.
3. World cup??? I don't care! Sorry! I watched Wimbledon. L has been in Italy and France for the past week and a half, though. She says its crazy there!
4. I like a good thunderstorm, and I LOVE snow days . . .as long as I'm not inconvenienced with a power outage! I don't live in a serious storm area (Hurricanes, etc). Thank God!
5. I think time-out chairs can be effective if used properly. That's the key. I'm glad my kids are past that stage, though. Older kids sometimes need "time outs", but it shouldn't be a "chair" and they need some space. I'm talking about school situations where 2 kids may be in conflict and they need an "out." Lots of time, kids would rather have an opportunity to walk away from a fight. It's up to an available adult to give it to them by giving them an option.
6. I have never bought or sold anything on ebay, but I've looked up items just to see what the going rates are. I have a collection of 100 mint condition "Mad" mags from the early and mid 70s. Anybody!??!
