Greetings! Our computer is screwy at home, so I have yet to do Monday Madness. I'll try to get it up later from here (school). Right now I have class!

This week's theme is 'the 5 senses,' so we will answer 5 questions this week. Ok?

1. Which one of your five senses do you feel is the strongest?
2. Which of your senses is the weakest?
3. Which one do you feel is the most valuable to you and would never want to live without?
4. In general, which of the five senses do you think people use most? Why?
5. Which of the five senses do you feel YOU use the most? Why?

1 & 2. I think the 5 senses are so intertwined that it's too difficult to say any one is consistently the strongest. For example, I can hear someone better when I SEE them speak. Touch also adds a dimension to what you see or taste. Smell and taste are so closely linked that I can't eat when there is a bad odor in the air. The cool thing about this "interlinking" is that if there is one missing, our bodies (brains?) work to compensate for the lack by enhancing the remaining ones.

3 &5. For me, the most inportant would be hearing. Making music is my work and much of my recreation. I can't imagine how I could totally compensate for a total lack.

4. I think most people would miss sight the most. In my line of work, it would be difficult, but not as hard to overcome as hearing. This isn't a question, but while we're on the subject, I think touch is the sense we most take for granted because it's the one we're least likely to lose.

Good questions! Last week was a total pain! I was NOT in a good frame of mind to socialize!!

This is the first time I've been able to get into ANY blog in a week. I got a "this page can not be displayed" message the last 2 times I've tried. It's been a rough week.

1. If you discovered the brakes on your car weren't working, what would be the first thing you'd do? (Assume that you NEEDED to stop.)
2. Do you consider yourself to be a safe driver; respecting speed limits and all other road rules?
3. If you see someone on the side of the road that appears to be having car problems, would you stop to help them? Why or why not?

1. I've had a couple of experiences in the winter when the road was too slippery to stop. I opted for a big snowbank one time and a ditch the other time. I would always opt for going off the road rather than the car in front of me.
2. Uhhhhhh. . . . . No comment!
3. I would use the cell and call the police, but I don't think it's safe to stop for every Tom, Dick & Harry on the side of the road.
