Hi all! I went to blogger login to sign in and found on the "site of interest" something called Captain Picard's Journal. How did they know??!! Anyway, it seems to be the site of some delusional fan. There are too many spelling errors for . . oh, never mind.

It's a bit chilly here on the west side. It helps keep the natives from getting too restless. Last week was our last full week with kids. They have this Friday off and teachers have a professional development day, and next week is short due to Memorial day. I have to do a parade in town that day. We are starting our preparations for the big open house. Apparently the graduation open house concept is a Michigan thing. That's what I've heard, anyway. How about it out there. Are there graduation open houses outside of the mitten??

Holy SockS!!! I haven't blogged since February!??! I'm coming back, Bug! First, Happy M-day to all you Moms out there. If you're not a Mom, but you are a teacher, Happy M-day to you too! Speaking of which, we're in the home stretch now! L had her last day of classes last Thursday. She has a bunch of job shadowing to do yet. In case I haven't bragged about this on the blog yet, she has been the recipient of numerous financial awards for college, not the least of which is full tuition for 4 years at the U of M. The offer she is accepting, however, is a full ride for 4 years at Ball State in Muncie, Indiana. Yay LiLi!

G is staying in Mt. P. for the summer. He has class starting tomorrow. He did come for a visit for a couple of days last week. He's got an appointment with a new doc for his knee. He's been on crutches for a year now. He took second place in a piano competition a couple of weeks ago and got some prize money. He also had a horn recital in April that was fantastic. I'll try to get a CD.
