It's only the 3rd week of school and I am already home sick! It's only a cold, but the body aches and scratchy throat make it hard to do my job, so here I am. The kitchen is really taking shape. Kevin will install the last of the cabinets this week and hopes to be installing the floor this weekend. When it's finished I plan to have the picture series on my other site. Tonight is Petey's last class. He hasn't had as much attention with his training because of the project, but hopefully he'll do ok.

G got his first regular orchestra gig. He's assistant princpal horn in the Midland Symphony. This is "connecting" him, because he also got called to sub in the pit for "Beauty and the Beast" in a couple of weeks. He's principal horn in both the wind ensemble and the orchestra at CMU too, so he is keeping very busy!

L has been busy with band and with filling out college apps. She is still getting ton of solicitations in the mail. She got a book from Penn State the other day, thought it was info. about the campus, etc., but she opened it up and discovered it was the application! Right now M Tech, UM, MSU and CMU are on her list.

Well' I'm going to browse some sites. Later!

Hi all! Thought I better do something here so you don't quit stopping! I got through my first football game with only 2 rehearsals last week. We had our open house on Tues, so I just stayed after and tried to get caught up on things. I pretty much resolved my scheduling hassles, and managed to round up most of the 6th graders who belonged in band. Whew! The suits don't make it easy! I'm looking forward to "hearing" about the Tahiti trip. More soon. TTFN

What a week. I still can't really comprehend the "realness" of Dad's death. It felt so much better to be with family than to try to process alone. Mom, you are very strong. I'm glad the entire family could be there. (Bug and S)

Kevy jumped right back into the project upon our return home. The sink, disposal, and new dishwasher are all hooked up. There's only one little cabinet left to install in the working area of the kitchen. He'll be customizing the spice area so we can see everything that's in there.

I'm totally unprepared for students coming in this week, due to my unplanned 1 day work week. Oh well.
